Is there way to integrate android ODIR SDK without using CraftARActivity?

Eutdeum Jan 19, 2018

Hi there,

I'm currently working on integrate android ODIR SDK into the company's code base.
But I found a critical issue.
It looks ODIR SDK uses CraftARActivity to start ODIR stuff,
but we use our own activity-extended class for our app.
Is there way to use ODIR without using CraftARActivity?

If you are using the camera view from the CraftAR SDK, you need to launch a CraftARActivity. If your use case does not require to open the camera, you don’t necessarily have to extend the CraftARActivity class, you can directly use the CraftAROnDeviceRecognition class and pass it a CraftARQueryImage object with your query image to perform a visual search.

If you need the camera, you can always open the camera using Android’s API and obtain a bitmap for searches. Note that the startFinder and singleShot search modes from the CraftARSDK class will not work in this case.

Best regards,
