Camera autofocus not working on Galaxy S8.

Manolis Aug 24, 2017

I have built a test app that uses CraftAR Image Recognition for Android. When I test with Lenovo A800 everything is fine, but when I tried to test with Samsung Galaxy S8 the camera seems not to focus and everything is blur. I tried to run the Examples project from the downloaded folder with the SDK and the same happens. Everything ok with Lenovo, no autofocus with Galaxy S8. In addition, when I run the CraftAR app, downloaded from the Play Store everything is ok. So, I imagine, something different happens in the startCapture() of the published CraftAR app than the one in the sdk folder. Any idea on how to solve this issue?

Hi.

Could you pelase tell me which SDK are you using?

The CraftAR app uses our CraftAR Pro SDK. If you’re using an SDK that only uses image recognition (‘Cloud Image Recognition SDK’ or ‘On Device Image Recognition SDK’), the capture is different so it could happen that the autofocus behaves differently.
