Error releasing App using Catchoom Cloud SDK for Android

Marc Jun 02, 2017

we are about to release an Android App and we are facing an unexpected error:

Fatal Exception: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: no static method "Lcc/openframeworks/OFAndroid;.setupGL(I)V"
at cc.openframeworks.OFAndroid.init(Unknown Source)
at cc.openframeworks.OFAndroid$ Source)

The error has been reproduced on 3 different devices.

But the app runs fine if we change the environment to "debug" instead of release.

Is there something that needs to be setup in the release config that we are missing?

Thank you.

Are you using proguard? Can you try disabling it if so?

Yes, by disabling proguard the app works in release mode.

So proguard is incompatible with your SDK?
Do we have to put a specific command in the proguard settings (-keepclass or similar)?

Yes, that was it.
Now it works!

Thank you Luis.
