How to set a scroll view as an Augmented Reality experience in Android?

Shubham Nagaria Jan 01, 2017

I am making an Android app in which I need to show a list of text views(number may vary so can't render as image and then display). I need a scroll view to display the text. I searched and found out this link to customize AR items ( But I am not so proficient in android, so can anyone help me with a snippet for a scrollable text view as an AR experience? Thanks!

Also, In addition to above query I also want to translate AR objects in my app, basically just like craftar creator does. Any ideas on how to do that? Really wished if you guys would have made craftAR creator also open source :)

Hi Shubham,

I am afraid we do not support Android native views as content at the moment and therefore it’s not possible to render a list view as content. The only contents we support at the moment are images, buttons, videos and 3D models, these can be customized by extending the class as the tutorial shows but they cannot be made into a list view.
As for the translation of contents the class CraftARItem contains a method setTranslation to do so. You can find the description of the method in the following link:
We have a tutorial that might be useful to help you understand how to translate the contents. The tutorial shows how to rotate the contents but it works in a similar manner. You can find it in the following link:
